أعلنت الحملة الأوروبية لرفع الحصار عن قطاع غزة أن وفداً برلمانياً أوروبياً سيصل قطاع غزة منتصف هذا الشهر للاطلاع على
أوضاعه المأساوية والوقوف على آثار الحصار المفروض على أهل القطاع للعام الرابع على التوالي.
سيقوم الوفد بزيارة استكشافية للمناطق التي دمرها الاحتلال خلال العدوان الاسرائيلي الأخير لاطلاع ممثلي الشعوب الأوروبية على الأوضاع الكارثية التي يعاني منها 5ر1مليون فلسطيني في القطاع والوقوف على تأثير الحصار على إعادة الإعمار كما سيستمع إلى مشكلات العديد من المنظمات الإنسانية والحقوقية العاملة هناك.
يضم الوفد 50 نائباً برلمانياً أوروبياً وتأمل الحملة أن ينقلوا الحقيقة كاملة إلى العالم الخارجي ولاسيما الأضرار الكارثية الناجمة عن استمرار الحصار الاسرائيلي. أن زيارة هؤلاء النواب ستبعث إلى الشعب الفلسطيني رسائل تضامن معهم من الرأي العام الأوروبي المناصر للقضية الفلسطينية.
يشار إلى أن الحملة الأوروبية تتخذ من العاصمة البلجيكية بروكسل مقراً لها حيث أرسلت منذ فرض الحصار على غزة عدة وفود برلمانية أوروبية إلى القطاع بالإضافة إلى قوافل حملت المساعدات الطبية ولاسيما لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة كما تتواصل باستمرار مع النواب والمسؤولين الأوروبيين بهدف اطلاعهم على الأوضاع الميدانية في القطاع المحاصر.

Une cinquantaine de parlementaires de toute l’Europe à Gaza une année après…
La grande offensive militaire sur la bande de Gaza a laissé derrière elle des vies, des communautés et des infrastructures complètement brisées. L’opération Plomb durci menée par l’armée israélienne, tuant 1400 palestiniens et blessant plus de 5000 d’entre eux, restera gravée dans les mémoires.
Une année après ces événements désastreux, la situation humanitaire déjà précaire continue à empirer par la persistance israélienne de ne permettre le passage que de biens de survie basiques aux frontières.
Le but principal de cette délégation, la plus importante jamais composée, est de dessiner une vision internationale des conditions socio-économiques précaires de la bande de Gaza, ainsi que d’aider à la prévention d’une catastrophe humanitaire sur le territoire. Gaza étant dans un état d’isolation quasi total, nous pensons qu’il est vital que des parlementaires puissent acquérir des connaissances de la situation sur le terrain.
Elle aura des rencontres avec des parlementaires palestiniens, avec les ONG locales, avec les Nations Unies. Elle visitera les infrastructures sanitaires, scolaires et les camps de réfugiés. Des rencontres avec le Ministre égyptien des affaires étrangères ainsi qu’ Amr Moussa directeur de la ligue arabe sont aussi prévues.
The largest Parliamentarian Delegation from across Europe leaves for the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, aiming at appraising the humanitarian conditions in the besieged Gaza Strip, much worsened after Israel 's latest assault and the suffocating siege.
In a press statement, The European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG) said it had fully coordinated with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on access issue—that the delegation will be permitted to cross into Gaza through Rafah crossing.
The delegation, consisting of 50 MPs, has begun to prepare for departure to Cairo and then to the Gaza Strip. The members, representing 12 European countries as well as members of the European Parliament, former ministers, will present all post-war effects and the devastating impact of the siege to their parliaments and peoples.
The delegation has been said to meet with Egyptian officials and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, to discuss the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip-- especially in light of the ongoing siege, which Israel has been imposing for 4 years running.
The European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza organized various Parliamentarian delegations that visited Gaza however this one is considered to be the largest delegation to visit Gaza .
According to ECESG, the main purpose of this visit is to update the representatives of the European countries on the catastrophic circumstances in which 1.5 million Palestinians live in the Gaza Strip.
